Lovelies Marlou & Ferenc asked me

to make the babycard for their new born

I didn't exactly knew where the design of the card was going...and I think that's

also how I like to work. Diving into something new... follow the heart and see where it goes.

Ofcourse it makes it more relaxed when you have the complete trust of those

you make a design for ♥

The card tells a little story and designing it was very

special & emotional at the same time...

I think the most rewarding moment was when I saw the reaction of Marlou

while showing her the card first...

Fille Irondelle

The weekend weather was great to stay indoors, meaning that we've had plenty of

time to read, make things, bake even do things around the house which we wanted

to do earlier. To be honest, it's also been really refreshing being away from the computer.

Monsieur bisou baked the richest carrot cake I've ever had, which was perfect with fresh cream.

not to forget that he also baked pain perdu and toast to fill our tummies during the weekend.

He means a lot to me.

We are translating his "Fille Irondelle" painting into a marionette as you can see on the 1st picture. She's still a bit mysterious but I think she already makes a beautifull scenery.

Autumn leaves

It's strange that everything seems to look a little bit different starting from now. The house is moving as the wind is telling us that Autumn is on her way. Days become shorter, people become shadows - rushing through rainshowers on their way home. I like the wamth of the cold days though.

The train ride was quiet as I fell asleep on Monsieur Bisous shoulder. We travelled home together - back to our loving wooly cats - after eating too many sweets and delicious soup in his studio.

Back home I wrapped a blanket around myself spending some time with the puppets in my cosy nook. Trying to shape the bodies, hands and feets - wondering how they will look like when finished.
Seems that I always manage to get lost in this world for hours and hours again...

It's time to hide myself under the freshly laundered sheets now, trying not to worry about the wind and rain which could harm my dads broccoli.

Dreams of light sprinkling snow in sunny weather.

Hello! Welcome to our sunday lunch amusing! Starring: Pia Lapin, Frenchie, Cecil Sugarplum, Pinkerdoodle, Marilu, Terence and a little bit of me.

Let's start here...

It was morning...
Cecil Sugarplum was wondering about her blind date.. " I hope it will be a fine gentleman to spend the days"

And there he was...The freshness of a black mustache around the nose. The return of charm. The sexiness of the cashmere sweater. The heart of Cecil was beating so fast that she had to slow it down a little bit before she would become a boiled egg... She really fell in love with Frenchie... and he with her - but he didn't really let her notice.

Their date was Chic, so Terence decided to give Cecile an elegant hat, for her to feel fabulous in... " I'll be back in a minute " - Cecile said - " I'll wait for you my dear " - Frenchie said...

- Than.... oh so suddenly than....she came up... Pinkerdoodle on her best! With her chicadees lips, red cheeks, spiked eyelashes and her voloptuous decolete - straight in the picture... Her goal was obvious...

Sadly Frenchie could't resist - and before he knew he had regrets already.
But it was to late... Cecile saw it all and run away.

Pinkerdoodle began to laugh... So loud that it gave a crack into Frenchies ear.
He really felt terrible...

Marilu was watching the show...she couldn't believe her eyes!
Than there was Pia Lapin. A happy little friend to cheer Cecil up and to cuddle away her tears...

Hmmmm.... I'm wondering how this sunday lunch amusing will continue... where does your imagination will bring this story?

Another Yummy dream

Her first bow - handmade from a piece of denim - was her triumph... It was a gift for her 1st birthday which was a love note from us that told her that she could explore the world outside. A few times a day she comes in and tell us little stories.

Five days a week she went fishing with her best friend Missy. Picking up wild berries - making delicious pastries - and afterwards they prepared their favorite drinks: sweet cinnamon and milk... As old as Missy was and how young Marilu...
Missy actually gave her homework! They really snuggled up together, having lot's of fun. I sometimes could hear them laugh, sharing their dreams, gossiping about other cats in the neighborhood...

Sadly those days won't return again... because Missy had to say goodbye. They gave eachother endless kisses before Missy left...

Once a while when Marilu is dreaming she receives little love notes from Missy. She is telling her adventurous stories about the beautiful place called Elsewhere. She misses her best friend, you can hear it in the way she speaks about it.

Now when Marilu wakes up she goes on a sightseeing tour with her new friend Wasco. She loves his whipped cream tale. Wasco and Marilu do picnics and exploration together. I think they are flirting with each other because sometimes I notice that they give each other sexy looks. Sometimes I sing: Wasco and Marilu sitting in a tree... she gives me a grumpy face for doing that.

Once in a while she pretends being a bird... You can see it in the way she falls from the tree... It's cute but kind of dangerous to... Can't watch it...

... She is our kind of beautiful.

...Some look like they were in a fight - some are nice pastel coloured through the sun - some are groovy and others old-fashioned - you've got the tiny - and the - big.

Boxes - each one unique in it's own style...some of them are so pretty that they already tell you a little story on the outside - others look like rubbish and have nothing to tell - those are my fave- the ones who look like they are kicked on the side way - they give me the irresistible feeling to take a little peek inside - and for sure: they really can surprise you!

In general... I love boxes!

Sweets on the street

Cupcake Berlin

Helen and I went to cupcakes for a sweet experience. We ordered the home-made "Cookies'n'Cream" and "Very Vanilla"( I thought) cupcake and a tea and ice coffee.
We decided to split our cupcakes in two so we could have a taste of both...
YUMMMMMM!!!

Ballhaus

So If you go to Berlin, be sure you go to the "Ballhaus"! You can check the dancing program before you go...or do it like we dit... just pop in...

I really fell in love with this place...It's so unique, the front and back yard where you can sit for a drink or eat some delicious food...the positive vibe, the old fashioned ballroom inside, oh...I loved the colouring and the fresh flowers on the tables! Couldn't stop taking pictures!! There was no dancing inside the ballroom when we were there for a visit, tough I would love to see when there is... I think that the place would be more magic than it already was...

Thanks Daan for for bringing us to this lovely place!
I definitely will go back one day...

Oh and don't forget to post a little note in the guesbook like I did...wondering who's reading it right now...

My travelers-kit

A late night tour on the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower allowed us to enjoy the lights of the bridges and buildings in Paris. With our chocolate crepes and french fries in our hand we walked our way home. There we picked up a bottle of wine, bread and cheeses to continue our evening with a romantic picnic underneath the stars at the charming camping where we stayed for a couple of nights...
